A few words from Athira:

My healing path started with my own health challenges in childhood and began to fall into place 20 years ago when I began to practice Hatha Yoga and develop an interest in Ayurvedic diet and health practices. That early immersion sparked a personal quest to understand natural healing from the inside out—leading me to formal studies in Adelaide, where I earned a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture, and to six years of intensive clinical apprenticeship in the art of pulse diagnosis.

I practise as a Classical Chinese Medicine Physician, weaving together acupuncture, herbal medicine, and dietary therapy. My foundation is in the subtle diagnostic traditions of the classical lineage—pulse taking, channel theory, and the understanding that health unfolds when we honour the body’s relationship to the rhythms of nature. I see the digestive system as the cornerstone of wellbeing, and my work is shaped by that principle: restoring balance from the ground up. Today, my practice embodies the respect of this ancient tradition, addressing a spectrum of conditions—from musculoskeletal ailments and chronic degenerative disorders to neurological imbalances and emotional unrest and everything in between.

What I hold at the centre of it all is this: we are not separate from nature. Healing happens when we realign with that wholeness. My work aims to honour the enduring power of nature, balance, and the body’s innate capacity for renewal.
